Milana Aleksandrovna Vayntrub of the American is an actor comedian, activist, and actress. She was born in the Soviet Union to Jewish immigrants and began her career after immigrating from Israel to the United States as a child actress. She gained notoriety for her roles in AT&T commercials on television as salesperson Lily Adams from 2013 to 2016, and then from the year 2020. In addition to her commercial appearances, she also appeared as a series regular on the Yahoo! Screen science-fiction comedy Other Space (2015). In addition, she was a regular series on Yahoo! Vayntrub was initially selected to voice the character Squirrel Girls in Marvel Rising's unaired pilot for New Warriors in 2018, has been voiced that role since. Vayntrub, an Jewish person, was born in Tashkent (Uzbek Soviet Socialist Republic), USSR. At the age of 2 she emigrated with her parents to the U.S. to escape antisemitism. She settled in West Hollywood. Her family's financial difficulties caused her to be a part of Mattel Barbie commercials from the age of 5. Vayntrub briefly was a student at Beverly Hills High School. She dropped out of the school in her sophomore year. She obtained the GED and later went on to get a Bachelor of Arts (Communication) from University of California San Diego. She studied improv with the Upright Citizens Brigade.
